Lightning McQueen is a rookie car who wants to be successful in the Piston cup race that he was currently competing on. He was more driven to win because of the idea that he could get to win the sponsor of the soon to be retiring The King. With helicoptors, great deal of advertisements, and the likes. Although Lightning also has a competitor against the sponsor, Chick Hicks. Three of them racing cars tied on the competition that needs a rematch.
Just when everything was going smoothly for Lightning McQueen, and who is inside his big trailer truck Mack, who both were on the way to the Interstate. Mack was having a hard time driving because he really needs to doze-off. Three cool cars then fooled around with poor Mack, playing a really smooth music that made Mack doze-off and forgot about the driving. As the ride was getting bumpier, a lil Lightning toy hit the lever of the truck, opened the door, and Lightning slipped out while he sleeping. As he woke-up, Mack was already far away but he tried to chase him. Though he never succeed and chased the wrong truck instead.
Lightning got lost and he was able to get to Radiator Springs, a small town which is a far-turn road to the interstate. His adventure begun on this place as he was able to learn a lot of things aside from his world of racing.
